About This Trek

The trail leads along the Humla Karnali from Simikot. After having romantic togetherness with the silver white Karnali water and taking delight of the healing music of its cascade streams for several days, we walk up to the Limi valley and cross over to the Tibetan city of Zher. From Zher we trek further for the Mount Kailash through Purang (Taklakot), which is the administrative center of Tibet. After accomplishing our exciting and unforgettable trek around Mount Kailash and the holy lake Manasarovar of the Tibet through challenging trails and routes we return back to Nyalam Through Saga and Gusto. From Nyalam, we again continue our journey towards Zangmu (Khasa). At Khasa we need to cross the border to Nepal to head towards the culmination point of the tour, Kathmandu.

The trek to Ganden Samye considers as one of the most famous trekking trips in Tibet. The Ganden ( situated at (4,180 m) and Samye (3,540 m), situated in high altitude areas are popular pilgrimage route for religious people and great trekking destinations for non-religious people because of its great spiritual values along with picturesque landscapes. Ganden, one of the beautiful Buddhist sites in Tibet is situated at 45 km east of Lhasa at the southern bank of Kyi Chu and Mendro Gongkar. This ancient historical monastery was privileged by the great Buddhist monk Tsong Lhapa he used to meditation here between 1357-1419.

A direct flight from Kathmandu to Lhasa begins the trekking trip and then we take our short trip to sacred and the capital city of Tibet, Lhasa. To explore around historical majestic palaces such as Potala Durbar (Potala Palace ) to wonder about its ancient arts and architecture preserved as historical reminiscence. Then we drive to have sight of the one of the influential monastery in Tibet Ganden monastery and Buddhist tradition it maintains. After exploring here we will continue trekking for next four days, and trek through Highland yak pasture and cross high pass called Shugu La Pass (5,200 m). Then we will visit Yarlung valley to reach the first and the holiest monastery in Tibet, Samye finally. Here great Buddhist Saints Guru Padmasambhava also said to have meditated, then we will drive up to Gonggar and fly back to Kathmandu.

About This Tour

Start from Kathmandu our Central Tibet Overland Tour takes you into the mesmerizing land of the central Tibet. This tour is being also the cultural tours takes you into the life and culture of the friendly Tibetan people and gives you great insight and the delightful opportunity to adore all these cultural and natural wonders. In our first day, we will spend few days exploring Temple, Stupa, and palaces in Kathmandu. We then directly fly to Lhasa to spend 3 nights there exploring Potala and Norbulingka Palace, Jokhang Temple, and Barkhor Bazaar Drepung Monastery. After that, we will go for the Tibetan Plateau from Lhasa to Kathmandu to have the sight of the overwhelming landscapes in our way some noteworthy monasteries and Stupa are Sakya, Shigatse, Gyantse.
